Embed SVG within VB form

For reasons too complicated to explain, I would lik e to embed an SVG document in a VB form without using the IE ActiveX control.

I'm using the Adobe SVG viewer, and have got the thing as far as loading an SVG document, but can get no further. If anyone out there has succeeded in using it in this way, I would be extremely grateful for any helpful hints / code snippets etc.
