SVG books

I would like to learn SVG, so can anyone recommend a good SVG book for me to use to learn the language?

Also I heard that Adobe was sponsoring svg, what's the relationship between the two?

SVG Essentials, J.David Eisenberg, O'Reilly

O'Reilly Press editors are the best.. they keep a very high bar for anything with their name on it in my experience.

Have you seen LearnSVG ( Learn SVG - The Web Graphics Standard : Tutorials, Maps, Books (http://www.LearnSVG.com) )? What is your opinion of it?
